چکیده

Most lowland-stream drainage-basins have a high population density and the landuse is very intensive. The permeable subsoil acts as an integrating medium, thus providing a widespread dispersal of leached nutrients and transmission of watertable lowering. This leads to desiccation and eutrophication of stream ecosystems. For providing suggestions with respect to cost-effective and sustainable spatial planning solutions the ‘WATERWISE’ bioeconomic model was developed. It combines the accuracy of simulation models with the versatility of optimization techniques to generate land-use patterns along with the appropriate water management, taking into account the preferences of stakeholders with respect to peak

Evaluating of VIC-3L Land Surface Model for Simulation of Stream Flow of Gharesou watershed

Land-surface models are widely used to simulate and predict the movement of momentum, energy, and matter between the biosphere and the atmosphere at local, regional and global scales. In this study, in order to evaluate the performance of this model in daily simulation of discharge in Gharesou watershed, using a spatial resolution of 0.125 degrees, satellite imagery and global databases to prov...

Spatial Calibration and Temporal Validation of Flow for Regional Scale Hydrologic Modeling

Physically based regional scale hydrologic modeling is gaining importance for planning and management of water resources. Calibration and validation of such regional scale model is necessary before applying it for scenario assessment. However, in most regional scale hydrologic modeling, flow validation is performed at the river basin outlet without accounting for spatial variations in hydrologi...

Spatial patterns of rainfall and shallow landslide susceptibility

[1] We quantify the effect of spatial patterns in climatological rainfall on shallow landslide susceptibility by forcing a physically based model of slope stability (SHALSTAB) with the rainfall pattern produced by a high-resolution atmospheric model (MM5) over the western Olympic Mountains of Washington State. Our results suggest that for two small basins in the Olympics, 10 km–scale variations...

Evaluation of soil erosion and sediment yield estimation various empirical model by observation values (Case study: Babolroud watershed, Mazandaran Provienc)

In this study where done in Babolroud basin, seven models include MPSIAC, EPM, Fournier, Douglas, Kirkby, Geomorphology and Hydrophysical was evaluated to determine the best model  for estimation of soil erosion and sediment yield. These models have not been compared together as integrated in the previous researches. The zoning soil erosion intensity map was prepared for each model using GIS. T...
